Bespoke camping accommodation
The new Camping Pods are situated in a beautiful, open spot with views over the marina, an ideal setting for a relaxing stay. Oeds van den Berg chose the All Seasons Camping Pod measuring 325x660 cm. These fully insulated accommodation units were designed and furnished in collaboration with TICRA entirely according to Oeds’ wishes.
For example, a wooden kitchen unit was selected and came fully equipped with a fridge and a stove. The accommodation units also came with a sanitary area, in which he himself fitted a toilet. An important aspect for Oeds was providing a more spacious area to sleep. ‘I wanted to keep the same size as our other accommodation units have to enable us to use the same duvet covers’, says Oeds. And so TICRA extended the standard bed width of 140 cm to a queen-size bed by reducing the size of the sanitary area and modifying the kitchen unit.
Comfort and convenience
In addition to the practical modifications, Oeds also devoted attention to the Camping Pods’ comfort and ease of maintenance. ‘I was looking for a low-maintenance, easy-to-clean floor. After a short search, I decided that this floor was the ideal solution for us’, he explains. The furniture was carefully chosen too: ‘We wanted a comfortable sofa bed and these are by far the best we found.’
