Our story starts with Mindert and Lydianne, husband and wife and fans of the great outdoors. Whilst on holiday in Canada together in 2008, they visited some friends who had moved to Canada and were inspired by the prominent role that outdoor living played in daily life over there. It kindled in them the idea of creating a similar experience in the Netherlands.

Mindert had been keen to start his own business for some time. Driven by his passion and determination, he quit his job and embraced the adventure. Lydianne joined in in the background but kept her day job for the time being. The venture turned into a success story and a few years later the couple went full-time together. Ticra Outdoor evolved into what it is now, albeit never abandoning its original mission: to help people escape the hectic onslaught of everyday life and recharge their batteries by getting them to enjoy outdoor living!

History

TICRA Outdoor was founded in 2009 by Mindert Rumpff, a keen entrepreneur who loved the great outdoors.

2009

TICRA is founded by Mindert Rumpff, starting out as a webshop and warehouse.

2014

Ticra Outdoor relocates to new, private premises situated at De Oude IJssel 14 on Dronten's new industrial estate. The building encompasses offices, a warehouse and a showroom. .

2015

The TICRA team expands with the first employee being hired.

2017

Lydianne Rumpff joins the company as co-owner and the range is extended to include accommodation units for the leisure industry, such as Camping Pods. The team continues to expand and Leisurecraft Europe (B2B) is set up.

2021

TICRA extends its showroom further and creates a showgarden. Ticra's warehousing is moved to a separate location, in conjunction with Leisurecraft Europe (B2B).
