Choose your sauna stove/heater

Here at TICRA, we only use the best brands of sauna stove/heater. Our range includes wood stoves from Finnish brand Harvia. What's more, we offer electric sauna heaters from Helo and HUUM in our saunas.

Which stove/heater will be right for you? That depends on whether you’d like to light up a real fire, or whether you'd prefer to turn on your sauna heater at the touch of a button. A sauna with a wood-fired stove provides atmosphere and an authentic sauna experience, whereas a sauna with an electric heater has the advantage of convenience. In addition, the heat generated by a wood-fired stove often feels like a slightly 'drier' heat, because the humidity decreases more by using a wood-fired stove than it does with an electric heater. Both a wood-fired stove and an electric heater will get the sauna easily to the desired temperature, so there’s no difference in that respect. A sauna with a wood-fired stove will often reach the right temperature slightly more quickly, provided that the fire is stoked properly. That said, the difference isn't so significant that it should affect your choice of sauna stove/heater type. Make sure you choose what suits you best in terms of experience, ease of use and what you find aesthetically pleasing!
