FAQs on delivering and assembling

The delivery time frame for your order will depend on whether or not the product is in stock. If the items ordered are in stock, you can assume delivery within 1-5 working days. If products need to be ordered, the delivery time frame will typically be 1-8 weeks, depending on where the products will need to be sourced from and whether or not bespoke orders are involved. It goes without saying that your contact person from our sales team will provide you with further information on precise delivery time frames.

We work with set carriers to deliver our products. Their logistics team usually lets us know the delivery date, which we share with our customers. That said, it is of course possible to specify in advance the days that suit you or don't suit you, enabling us to factor this in to the scheduling.
Your track & trace details will be e-mailed to you along with an indicative time slot the day before delivery. If you wish, we can arrange for you to be called one hour before delivery on the delivery date.

Delivery of your order will be scheduled in consultation with our regular carriers, taking into account any customer preferences as to which days suit them or don’t suit them. We will always supply you with delivery information by e-mail or telephone in advance. The delivery date will be specified at that juncture. In view of the flexibility that our carriers need when it comes to delivering these typically larger products, specifying exact delivery times is not a realistic prospect. However, an indicative time slot can be provided beforehand and it is possible to receive a call about an hour before delivery.

You can expect one of our regular carriers to arrive during the time slot in the pre-agreed part of the delivery day. The products are normally delivered 'to the door'. If arrangements have been made for delivery and possible assembly at the exact destination address (in the garden or at another specific location), then these arrangements will of course be fulfilled. In some cases, delivery using a crane might be appropriate, depending on what was agreed upon at the time of ordering.

If you have chosen an electric hot tub, then a power supply will in many cases have to be installed by a qualified electrician (unless a plug socket is already present). Some hot tubs require a high-voltage current. If this is necessary in your case, your contact person from our sales team will let you know in advance. The Finnish Kota can be sited almost anywhere. We recommend that you choose a paved surface, such as paving slabs or clinker bricks. It’s important for the surface underneath to be 100% level. Decking, a hardwood frame or concrete floor also make suitable surfaces. In the case of the Finnish Kotas, it’s important for the foundations to be 5-10 cm above ground level, keeping the so that the Kota is above the ground for water drainage purposes.
Preparations also include installing a power supply, if you want the use of electricity to be possible in the Finnish Kota. We advise that this should always be done by a qualified electrician.

Preparing the site for your outdoor kitchen consists in making the surface 100% level. Pretty much any paved surface, such as concrete, tiles or clinker bricks, will make suitable surfaces on which to install your outdoor kitchen.
