This is often unnecessary. It depends on local regulations (usually by-laws). If an accommodation is movable, a permit is almost never required. The TICRA Camping Pods and Camping Barrels are always movable. Optionally, a base can be included, making it even easier to move the unit around. Finnish Glamping Kotas are built on a foundation and are therefore more permanent. We would always advise you to ask your local authority about local regulations/by-laws. If a permit is required (which will sometimes also depend on the size of the accommodation unit), this will usually be arranged by the local authority too. 

Inclusion in the network of authorised Trekkershutten offers you additional rental options by allowing you to make the most of the marketing communications and the extensive range of the Trekkershutten organisation’s website. It will also give your accommodation unit a more professional image, as a glamping accommodation unit has to be of a certain standard to be featured on the website trekkershutten.nl. Our TICRA Camping Pods and Camping Barrels are delivered fully assembled or in modules, depending on their size. One option is to build a construction package on site (or have it built for you). The Camping Barrel made of red cedar always comes as a construction package, because it comes from Canada and this is more convenient for transport. Our Finnish Glamping Kotas always come as construction package(s) that can be built on site too. 

Make sure that the surface on which the accommodation unit is to be placed is completely flat and 100% level in advance. For example, the ground can consist of stones, tiles, decking, screw pile foundation or hardwood frames. We would advise you to always get a qualified electrician to connect up the electricity supply separately. 

Our glamping accommodation units are unfurnished as standard, meaning you are free to furnish them as you see fit. Optionally, you can order a variety of furniture from the factory. Please feel free to get in touch with us to discuss all the options with no obligation. We’ll be happy to help you!

The fully insulated All Seasons Camping Pods are ideal for use all year round, even in extremely cold conditions. They're very well insulated, meaning they don’t need much energy to heat them. All other TICRA glamping products are well insulated too and can be used for much of the year, especially with the mild winters that we get in the Netherlands nowadays. If you're keen to be able to rent out the products throughout the year, then we’d recommend going for an All Seasons Glamping product.
