Very suitable for treating wooden walls and ceilings in saunas, steam, washing and changing rooms and damp rooms.
Belongs to the best M1 class for building materials. This means that no harmful substances evaporate inside.
The surface to be treated must be dry, the ambient temperature must be at least +5°C and the relative humidity must be below 80%.
Preparation:
Clean wooden surfaces: Remove dirt and dust from the wooden surface. Lightly moisten the surface with water spray, allow to dry and sand away loose wood fibres. Remove sanding dust.
Old and dirty surfaces or surfaces previously treated with, e.g. Supi Sauna Finish: Wash with Supi Sauna Cleaner according to the instructions, rinse thoroughly and allow to dry. Sand if necessary and remove sanding dust.
Application:
Stir Supi Sauna Finish thoroughly before and occasionally during use. Apply a coat of coloured or uncoloured Supi Sauna Finish to the walls of the sauna or steam room. Dilute with water if necessary. You can also apply two coats of coloured Supi Sauna Finish diluted 50% with water to the walls of the steam room. This will make the brush marks less noticeable.
Apply two coats of Supi Sauna Finish to the wooden surfaces in the washing and changing rooms. Dilute coloured Supi Sauna Finish approx. 20% with water for the first treatment. Only dilute the clear Supi Sauna Finish if necessary. Test the coloured Supi Sauna Finish first on an inconspicuous area to ensure that you have the right colour. When the product is diluted, the colour will be slightly lighter and more transparent than in the colour chart. The final colour depends on the properties and any previous treatment of the wood. To achieve a uniform colour, treat small areas completely without interruptions; treat large panel surfaces with 1-2 panels at a time.
Preheat and ventilate the sauna thoroughly before use.
